ASI LIMITED completed one of its most signature jobs this year. The new Lucas Oil Stadium will be home to the Indianapolis Colts. ASI provided 240,000 square feet of glass, curtainwall, louvers and panels. There were over 5000 panels formed from .125 aluminum by ASI’s Ornamental Division on the project inside and out along with 55 ticket windows and 156 door leaves. The operable window is largest operable window in the world. At the north end is clad in curtainwall and is 88' tall x 244' wide.
Lucas Oil Stadium held its Grand Opening Ceremony on August 14th, 2008. In addition to professional football games, the stadium is scheduled to host the semifinal and final rounds of the Men's Final Four in 2010, with the Women's Final Four one year later. Indianapolis won a bid to host Super Bowl XLVI, in 2012.
The 2008 NFL season featured the first NBC Sunday Night Football game of the season in the stadium, as the Colts faced the Chicago Bears in a rematch of Super Bowl XLI. On September 13, 2008, country music singer Kenny Chesney will hold the first public concert at the stadium.
