ASILIMITED Looks Forward to “Race Fest” Friday Indianapolis, Ind. Monday July 23, 2007 - The excitement is building (no pun intended) for ASI LIMITED and its corporate racing partners Akzo Nobel; Aluminum Shapes; Spectrum Metal Finishing and Lester Buildings. ASI LIMITED will be hosting their 3rd Annual “Race Fest” event this Friday in Indianapolis. Over 60 people that work together though ASILIMITED projects will be in attendance. The day will begin at ASILIMITED headquarters with catered lunch then a tour of the fabrication shop and SS Racing facility before the racing action starts.
In the afternoon the group will visit Indianapolis Motor Speedway for NEXTEL Cup Racing practice. Then they will travel to the highlight event of the day, the Powerstroke Diesel 200 at O’Reilly Raceway Park, where they will root on the ASI LIMITED sponsored no.07 Chevy Silverado driven by Tim Sauter. Guest will be treated to hospitality and pit tours before the race and will have a chance to meet their driver Tim Sauter in a private autograph session. SS Racing driver Sean Murphy will also be in attendance to meet and greet guests.
Ken Smith, President of both SS Racing and ASILIMITED formed an agreement with Lester Buildings and Green Light Racing to participate in seven races this year. Since 2001 Smith has found motorsports to be a valuable tool in building business relationships.
“Being a hometown race, we are able to show appreciation to the people and companies we work with,” said Smith. “It’s a great opportunity for many of our clients to see our facility and in addition attend a fun and exciting event.”
Tim Sauter is looking forward to the race as well. He is currently 18th in the point’s standings and heads into O’Reilly Raceway Park with a positive outlook on the potential for a solid finish.
“I think the team will make a big rebound at ORP, we have a great race-truck to take there and it’s one of my favorite tracks,” said Sauter. “There will be a lot of sponsors with ASILIMITED; Aluminum Shapes, Akzo Nobel and Spectrum Metal Finishing attending the race. I look forward to meeting everyone and hopefully putting on a great show for them.”
Qualifying for the Power Stroke Diesel 200 will broadcast live on Speed Channel at 4:30PM EST. Race start is scheduled for 7:30PM also live on Speed Channel.
