Series 1000 Wet Seal System
ASI Limited Series 1000 Wet Seal System has become one of the preferred systems commonly used by customers throughout the U.S. and abroad. This system is composed of .125 formed aluminum. Aluminum plate is sheared and formed by means of a brake press. Corners are folded, welded and ground smooth to add rigidity and provide a clean finished look. Additionally, the corners are back sealed with a weather sealant to insure water tightness. Panel sizes can vary in width from 3 to 5 feet and be as tall as 6 feet. Large oversized panels will incorporate the use of stiffeners to aid in limiting panel deflection under windloads.
Formed aluminum panels can either be shop glazed into a unitized curtain wall system or mounted directly onto stud wall framing with field installed silicone caulk joints. Panels, typically, are finished in either a two or three coat Kynar baked on finish using Akzo Nobel Paint Products. This provides for uniformity of color to match surrounding aluminum metal materials including curtain wall, sun shades, etc..
